APPLY INSTRUCTIONS
On this page we will help you on your way with sticking your stickers. We’ve created specific sticking instructions for as many products as possible that you can find in the sticking instructions tab on the product page. Below we have developed more general instructions for the application of smaller and larger stickers and for removing your old stickers. An overview of our specific sticking instructions and videos can be found in the table below.
STICKING INSTRUCTIONS SPECIALGP
STICKING INSTRUCTIONS SMALL STICKERS
These sticking instructions are intended for smaller stickers up to about 30cm wide, such as nickname stickers, sponsor stickers and circuit stickers. Some stickers with a width of up to 30cm can have a considerable surface area because of their height. You can better stick these with the instructions for large stickers.
PREPARATION
Always ensure that the surface to which the sticker is applied is clean and grease-free. Do not apply the stickers in a cold environment or surface; the adhesive layer will not adhere well.
THE STICKER
Each sticker consists of the following parts:
- Application tape
- Background paper
- The sticker itself
STEP 1
Determine the position where you want to stick the sticker.
This is especially important when you are going to apply multiple stickers.
STEP 2
Rub the sticker so that it adheres well to the application tape. Then pull the tape with the sticker off the paper.
Does (part of) the sticker remain stuck to the paper? Then put the tape back and rub harder where the sticker did not come along until it does come off the paper.
STEP 3
When the sticker is completely detached from the paper, stick the sticker where you want it to stick.
Gently rub from one side to the other of the sticker, this prevents air bubbles under the sticker.
STEP 4
When the decal is well rubbed on, remove the application tape. Take great care to ensure that the decal sticks to the surface.
Does (part of) the sticker not stick? Then put the tape back and rub harder where the sticker will not stick until it does come loose from the tape.
STEP 5
Walk back a few feet, check out the engine and enjoy the stunning result!
CAUTION!
The sticker’s adhesive does not cure immediately and needs about 24 hours for the sticker to adhere properly.
TIP
For optimal adhesion: heat the decal briefly with a heat gun or hair dryer immediately after application.

STICKING INSTRUCTIONS FOR LARGE STICKERS
If the decal to be pasted is of a large size, it may be helpful to use the soap and water method when pasting the decal.
PREPARATION
Always make sure that the surface on which the sticker is pasted is clean and grease-free. Do not stick the sticker in a cold environment or on a very cold surface. The adhesive layer will not adhere well, which can make it difficult to stick the stickers. For this method you need water, detergent and a plant sprayer.
THE STICKER
Each sticker consists of the following parts:
- Backing paper
- The sticker itself
- Application tape
STEP 1
Make a mix of 1 liter of water and a few drops of dish soap and pour it into a plant sprayer.
STEP 2
Rub the sticker so that it adheres well to the application tape. Then pull the tape with the sticker off the paper.
Does (part of) the sticker remain stuck to the paper? Then put the tape back and rub harder where the sticker did not come along until it does come off the paper.
STEP 3
Before applying the decal, spray a thin layer of water over the adhesive side of the decal on the application tape and the area to be covered.
This way, you can still move the sticker while applying it. The sticker will not adhere until the water has dried.
STEP 4
Take the decal and apply it to the engine. Move the decal until it is in the correct position.
STEP 5
Then rub (preferably with a squeegee) from the center to remove the water behind the decal so that it will adhere to the engine.
STEP 6
Wait until all the water behind the decal has dried before removing the application tape.
STEP 7
When the decal is well rubbed on, remove the application tape. Take great care to ensure that the decal sticks to the surface.
Does (part of) the sticker not stick? Then put the tape back and rub harder where the sticker will not stick until it does come loose from the tape.
STEP 8
Walk back a few feet, check out the engine and enjoy the stunning result!
CAUTION!
Wait several hours before driving if you use the method with water. The porous rim striping needs this time to breathe out the water that is still underneath. The bike may be washed again after 5 days.
TIP
For optimal adhesion: after application, when all the water has dried, briefly heat the rim striping with a heat gun or hair dryer.

REMOVING OLD STICKERS?
Removing stickers can be quite a tricky job. Stickers are meant to be removable, and our stickers certainly are. The longer a sticker sits on the substrate, the more solid it is. How firmly it is stuck depends not only on how long it has been there, but also on what surface it has been stuck on. And under what conditions the stickers were applied and used.
